How to Connect Google Calendar to EOS One

Connect your organization’s Google Calendar to EOS One so supported calendar features can be used across the organization.

Before You Connect Google Calendar

The initial Google Calendar connection must be completed by a Google Workspace super admin.

During setup, EOS One provides the information your Google administrator needs to authorize the integration, including:

  • EOS One client ID

  • Required OAuth scopes

You will add this information to Google Admin before connecting the Google account to EOS One.

Note: The steps and screens you see in Google may vary based on your organization’s Google Workspace configuration and security settings.

Start the Google Calendar Setup in EOS One

  1. In EOS One, select your profile icon in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Integrations.

  4. Locate Google Calendar.

  5. Select Connect.

EOS One displays instructions for configuring the integration in Google Admin.

The setup window includes:

  • A link to open Google Admin

  • The EOS One client ID

  • The required OAuth scopes

  • Copy buttons for the client ID and OAuth scopes

Authorize EOS One in Google Admin

  1. From the EOS One setup window, select Open Google Admin.

  2. Sign in to Google Admin using a Google Workspace super admin account.

  3. Navigate to:

    Security > Access and data control > API controls

  4. Open the area for managing domain-wide delegation or API clients.

  5. Select Add new.

  6. Return to EOS One and copy the Client ID.

  7. Paste the Client ID into the corresponding field in Google Admin.

  8. Copy the OAuth scopes from EOS One.

  9. Paste the scopes into Google Admin.

The OAuth scopes are provided in a comma-delimited format. Google separates them into the individual scopes being authorized.

  1. Select Authorize.

After authorization, EOS One will appear as a new entry in the domain-wide delegation table with its client ID.

Connect Your Google Account

After EOS One has been authorized in Google Admin:

  1. Return to the Google Calendar setup window in EOS One.

  2. Select Continue.

  3. Select the Google account you want to use for the connection.

  4. Complete the Google sign-in process.

  5. Review the permissions requested by EOS One.

  6. Select Allow.

Google may display permissions related to calendar events and availability as part of this process.

Wait for Calendar Sync Setup

After you approve the Google permissions, EOS One begins setting up the calendar sync.

The setup may take a few minutes, depending on the size of your organization.

When setup is complete, EOS One displays a success message and Google Calendar will show as connected under Settings > Integrations.

Send Calendar Invitations from EOS One

Once the calendar integration is connected, EOS One can send calendar invitations when you create a Meeting.

  1. Create a Meeting in EOS One.

  2. Add the Meeting attendees.

  3. Continue creating the Meeting.

  4. When prompted, choose whether you want to send calendar invitations.

You can choose:

  • Send calendar invites: Attendees receive a calendar event in their connected Google or Outlook calendar.

  • EOS One only: Create the Meeting without sending calendar invitations.

  • Remember my choice for future meetings: Save your selection for future Meeting creation.

Disconnect Google Calendar

To disconnect the organization’s Google Calendar integration:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Locate Google Calendar.

  3. Select Disconnect.
