FAQ: Understanding To-Do Removal and Recovery in EOS One

Summary: Learn when personal and meeting-related to-dos are removed from EOS One, where completed items can be found, and what recovery options are available.

What happens to a personal to-do after I mark it done?

A personal to-do is removed from your dashboard after it has been marked complete and the page refreshes.

This can happen in one of two ways:

  • You manually refresh the page.

  • You log out and log back in later.

Why doesn't it disappear immediately?

This allows you to quickly undo the action if you accidentally marked the to-do as complete. Until the page refreshes, you can simply uncheck it and leave it as incomplete.

If I mark a personal to-do as done and refresh the page, is it gone for good?

Yes. Once a completed personal to-do is removed from the dashboard after a refresh, it is no longer available in the EOS One user interface.

At this time:

  • Completed personal to-dos cannot be restored.

  • Completed personal to-dos do not appear in Insights.

When are meeting-related to-dos removed from my dashboard or Meeting Overview?

Meeting-related to-dos are not removed immediately when marked complete.

Instead, they are removed the next time the meeting they belong to is fully completed.

This behavior ensures that the Clear meeting items checkbox remains selected during meeting completion. The checkbox is selected by default.

Can I recover a meeting-related to-do after it has been marked done and the meeting has been completed?

Partially.

Once a completed meeting-related to-do has been removed from your dashboard and Meeting Overview, it cannot be unchecked and restored.

However, you can still find the completed item in Insights.

From Insights, you can:

  1. Locate the completed to-do.

  2. Click the three-dot menu on the far right of the inline to-do.

  3. Select Duplicate to create a new copy.

The duplicated to-do can then be reassigned and tracked as a new item.

Can a to-do belong to more than one meeting?

No.

A to-do can be associated with:

  • One meeting, or

  • No meeting at all (a personal to-do)

A single to-do cannot be linked to multiple meetings.

Can I move a to-do from one meeting to another?

No.

To-dos cannot currently be moved between meetings.

As a workaround, you can:

  1. Locate the to-do.

  2. Click the three-dot menu on the far right of the inline to-do.

  3. Select Duplicate.

  4. Assign the duplicated to-do to the desired meeting.
