How to Add a Seat to the Accountability Chart in EOS One

Add seats to your Accountability Chart to define reporting structure, ownership, and responsibilities within your organization.

Add a Seat

  1. Open the Accountability Chart draft you would like to edit.

  2. Locate the seat that the new seat will report to.

  3. Click the parent seat to select it.

  4. Click Add Seat beneath the selected seat.

    Alternatively, click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the seat and select Add Seat Below.

  5. Enter the seat information:

    • Seat Name

    • Seat Owner (optional)

    • Roles (optional)

  6. Click Add Seat.

The new seat will be added beneath the selected reporting seat.

Seat Information

Seat Name

The Seat Name identifies the role or function within the organization.

Examples include:

  • Integrator

  • Head of Sales

  • Operations Manager

  • Marketing Coordinator

Note: Seat Name is the only required field when creating a seat.

Seat Owner

The Seat Owner is the person accountable for the seat.

Seat Owners can be assigned when the seat is created or added later.

Roles

Roles define the primary responsibilities associated with the seat.

Clearly defined roles help ensure accountability and clarity throughout the organization. 5 Roles are recommended.

Edit or Remove a Seat

To modify an existing seat:

  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the seat.

  2. Select:

    • Edit Seat to update seat information.

    • Remove Seat to delete the seat.

    • Add Seat Below to create a direct report beneath the seat.
