Accountability Chart: Overview and How to Create a Draft

The Accountability Chart helps define organizational structure by identifying the seats, responsibilities, and reporting relationships within your company.

EOS One includes a modern Accountability Chart Builder with Atlas AI assistance, draft collaboration, and publishing tools that make it easier to create and maintain your organization's structure.

Create a New Accountability Chart Draft

  1. Navigate to A/C from the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Click New Draft.

  3. Enter a name for the draft.

  4. Select one of the available starting options:

    • Start with EOS Template (Recommended)

    • Start Blank

  5. Click Create Draft.

The new draft will open in the Accountability Chart Builder.

Starting Options

Start with EOS Template

The EOS Template creates a standard EOS Accountability Chart structure that includes:

  • Visionary

  • Integrator

  • Marketing/Sales

  • Operations

  • Finance

This option is recommended for organizations building their first Accountability Chart.

Start Blank

The Start Blank option creates an empty Accountability Chart with a single Visionary seat.

Additional seats can be added as needed.

Build Your Accountability Chart

Each seat can be customized with:

  • Seat Name

  • Seat Owner

  • Roles and responsibilities

As you build your chart, you can:

  • Add seats

  • Edit seats

  • Remove seats

  • Delegate sections of the chart

  • Reorganize reporting structures

  • Collaborate on drafts

Atlas AI Assistance

Atlas AI is built directly into the Accountability Chart Builder.

Use Atlas AI to:

  • Build organizational structures

  • Add seats

  • Define responsibilities

  • Refine reporting relationships

  • Receive guidance while creating your Accountability Chart

Enter requests directly into the Atlas AI panel to receive assistance.

Team Structure Panel

The Team Structure panel provides a hierarchical view of your Accountability Chart.

This view helps you:

  • Navigate large organizational structures

  • Identify incomplete seats

  • Review reporting relationships

  • Quickly locate specific seats

Publish an Accountability Chart

When your draft is complete:

  1. Review the Accountability Chart.

  2. Click Make Live.

  3. Confirm the publication.

Once published, the Accountability Chart becomes the official Accountability Chart of the organization.
