Culture Checkup: Overview and How to Use It

Updated over 2 months ago

The Culture Checkup is a powerful tool for assessing the strength of your company culture and aligning it with your strategic goals. It helps Leadership Teams proactively identify cultural strengths and areas for improvement to support a healthy and high-performing organization.

What it is

The Culture Checkup evaluates your organization's culture based on two key dimensions:

  • Intentionality: How deliberately your culture is shaped and reinforced (e.g., clear Core Values, consistent onboarding, structured feedback).

  • Healthiness: The overall well-being of the culture, including employee engagement, communication, trust, and development opportunities.

The results are plotted on The Culture Quadrant, which helps visualize your current culture state:

  • High Performance: High healthiness, high intentionality.

  • Happy Accident: High healthiness, low intentionality.

  • Command & Control: Low healthiness, high intentionality.

  • Toxic: Low healthiness, low intentionality.
