How to Create Your First Accountability Chart in EOS One

The Accountability Chart helps define your organization's structure by identifying seats, responsibilities, and reporting relationships.

EOS One makes it easy to create your first Accountability Chart using either a standard EOS template or a blank chart.

Create Your First Accountability Chart

  1. Click A/C from the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Click New Draft.

  3. Enter a name for the draft.

  4. Select one of the available options:

    • Start with EOS Template (Recommended)

    • Start Blank

  5. Click Create Draft.

Your Accountability Chart draft will open in the Accountability Chart Builder.

Choose a Starting Point

Start with EOS Template

The EOS Template creates a standard EOS Accountability Chart structure that includes:

  • Visionary

  • Integrator

  • Marketing/Sales

  • Operations

  • Finance

This option is recommended for most organizations.

Start Blank

The Start Blank option creates an empty Accountability Chart with a single Visionary seat, allowing you to build your organizational structure from scratch.

Build Your Accountability Chart

As you build your chart, you can:

  • Add seats

  • Assign Seat Owners

  • Define roles and responsibilities

  • Create reporting relationships

  • Delegate sections of the chart to leaders

  • Use Atlas AI for assistance

Each seat can include:

  • Seat Name

  • Seat Owner

  • Roles and responsibilities

Share and Collaborate

Owners and Admins can share Accountability Chart drafts with other users.

Depending on the permissions granted, users may receive:

  • View access

  • Edit access

Users with Edit access can contribute directly to the Accountability Chart draft.

Publish Your Accountability Chart

When your Accountability Chart is complete:

  1. Review the draft.

  2. Click Make Live.

  3. Confirm the publication.

The published Accountability Chart becomes your organization's official Accountability Chart.
